30 day Public review notice & public Hearing Tilden Township Recreation Committee Following a 30-day public review period beginning on December 16, 2025, the Tilden Township board will hold a public hearing on January 20, 2026 at 7:00pm ET at the Tilden Township Hall. This hearing will allow the community to provide final comment on the draft plan. After the public hearing the Tilden Township board will adopt the plan, incorporating all public feedback. Adopting this 5-year Recreation Plan will enable Tilden Township to apply for DNR recreation grant funds to enhance its existing facilities. Notice of Public Hearing CDBG Grant
Notice of Public Hearing Michigan Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) FUNDING FOR HOUSING INFRASTRUCTURE Tilden Township will conduct a public hearing on Tuesday, September 16 at 7:00 PM at 3145 County Rd PG, Ishpeming, MI 49849 for the purpose of affording citizens an opportunity to examine and submit comments on the proposed application for a CDBG grant. Tilden Township proposes to use CDBG grant funds in the amount of $ 150,000 for Housing Infrastructure, for updating water and road access for the creation of housing units, along with the other local and private activities and funding . All activities, upon completion, will benefit low- to moderate- income households. Zero persons will be displaced as a result of the proposed activities and thus, no additional action needed . Further information, including a copy of Tilden Township ‘s community development plan and CDBG application is available for review. Comments may be submitted in writing through September 16, 2025 or made in person at the public hearing. Citizen views and comments on the proposed application are welcome. Members Needed Board of Review Tilden Township is seeking two residents to serve on the Board of Review. Applicants must be residents of Tilden Township. AUTHORITIES & RESPONSIBILITES:The Board of Review examines and reviews the assessment roll for the current year as prepared by the Supervisor/Assessor. It adds property omitted from the assessment roll, corrects errors in names, property descriptions, assessments, and valuations, hears taxpayer appeals, and endorses the completed assessment roll. Interested individuals may apply at the Tilden Township Hall, 3145 County Road PG, Ishpeming, MI 49849.
